Owney The Traveling Dog
2009-2010
boys put Owney in box

Owney is on his way to visit schools. He arrived at our school after school was out and was late starting this year.

The addresses of those classes that are participating this year are listed on the following page. New Schools have been added. Click here to see if your name and school are on the list.

Please remember to send post card to all the schools even those that are on either list or
that join late. You will get an email about the addition of a school to the Owney project.  I send out two slightly different Owneys, but the same things will be in each box. I have done it this way to try to make it easier for everyone to get Owney before school is out.

In Owney box you will find him wearing some pins from states last year. That way everyone will get to see an Owney with pins. You may add a pin or something fairly light to the box.

In the box there is also a photocopied book of Owney by Lynn Hall. We have permission for the copying. Please make sure these copies are in the box when it is sent on to the next school. There will also be three books, one about Owney and the other two about Maine.

Remember to send owney <owney@rsu1.org> an email so we can keep track of his travels. Please also email the next school letting them know he is on his way. I will post the emails on this site.

I hope you enjoy the project.

Look through our past Owney projects and see the interesting things Owney did with the classes that he visited.
