2. Respond to stories orally and in writing.

Students will practice skills of listening to the speaker, forming questions and answering questions during classroom sharing periods.

1. Teacher anecdotal or taped observation during the sharing period.

2. Teacher will make an anecdotal record or taped observation during the writing conference. It will be noted how and why or why not the student revises her/his piece in response to conference.

3. After viewing a performance, the student will write a thank you note or card that is specific to the presentation.
