1. Estimate and measure length, time, temperature, weight, and capacity.

Length - short, long
Time - to the hour
Temperature - hot, cold
Weight - heavy, light
Capacity - full, empty

Using a fruit or vegetable, student will estimate the length of string needed to equal the circumference of the fruit or vegetable. (See also A4)

Student will compare their string to the actual circumference and place the string in the "too short," "too long," or "just right" category. (See also A4)

2. Identify and give the value of different coins.

Identify: penny, nickel, dime, quarter

Students will sort a collection of coins. (see vocabulary)
