Responsibilities of a citizen of Maine:

Compare to City and school responsibilities

Students will visit the State House and will hear a talk by a State Representative or Senator.
In an election year, students will hold a mock election.
Students will make a list of items and services paid for by taxes.

Students will make a pamphlet for a new citizen explaining  the responsibilities of people in a democratic society, showing what the government provides in return, explaining why this is important, and including a description of the basic structure of Maine State Government. (Note: this assessment also cover Civics A3, and Civics B1/2)
