3. Demonstrate an understanding of selected turning points in ancient and medieval world history and the continuing influence of major civilizations of the past.	Turning points: Fall of the Roman Empire Spread of Christianity Beginning of the Olympic Games Continuing influence: architecture food religion entertainment			Students will select a turning point in an ancient culture and identify what influenced that event.
