1. Use and construct maps and other visuals to describe geographic location, direction, size, and shape.

Construct maps of familiar areas such as the school, playground, or neighborhood.

Use maps as relevant to current events and events in students' lives.

The students will construct and use a variety of maps (neighborhood, treasure, playground, school).
They will make balloon globes (glue continents to balloons).
They will play the NSEW game or 4 corners.

The students will each draw a map of the playground.
