1. Explain the terms consumer and product.

Relating the terms consumer and product to their own lives.

The students will discuss lemonade stands or hot dog stands and how they make money, using the terms consumer and product (CD roms are good resources.)
They will discuss why some products (toys or other goods) can be hard for consumers to get.

The students will write or tell the definition of a consumer and a product and give an example of each.
