Content Standard: History Students will be able to: 1. Place individual and family
experiences in historical time and place. Time line of student's life The students will make a time line of
important events in their lives (birth, first day of school,
etc.) The students will create a quilt
square which illustrates at least 3 important dates in their
lives. The quilt square could be split into
sections. sequence 2. Distinguish similarities and
differences among historical events. Comparing events in history which led
to holidays and special days. The students will identify
similarities and differences when discussing the historical
background of holidays. Given two historical events, the
students will fill in a T-chart showing similarities and
differences. (for example, presidencies of George Washington
and Abraham Lincoln). events

Students will use the chronology of history and major eras to
demonstrate the relationships of events and people.
