Fall Sports

Football - Bath Middle School has varsity and junior varsity football teams. Participation is open to all seventh and eighth grade students at B.M.S. and Woolwich. Games are played at the McMann Field Complex. Take Route 1 North to Bath. Take the Congress Ave. exit. Turn right off from this exit and onto Congress Ave. Go over the overpass and after approximately 0.8 of a mile, McMann Field is located to the right.

Soccer - B.M.S. has both Girls and Boys A and B soccer teams. Participation is open to all B.M.S. students. Teams compete in the Andy Valley League, which includes Brunswick, Mt. Ararat, Auburn, Lewiston, Tripp, and Oxford Hills. Games are played at Legion Field. Take Route 1 North to Bath. Take Congress Ave. exit. Turn right off from this exit and onto Congress Ave. Go over the overpass, and after approximately 1.0 mile, passing McMann Field and the tennis courts, Legion Filed is located on the right at the top of the hill.

Field Hockey - B.M.S. has varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams. Participation is open to all girls attending B.M.S. and Woolwich. Both teams compete in the Andy Valley League. Games are played at the McMann Field Complex. Take Route 1 North to Bath. Take the Congress Ave. exit. Turn right off from this exit and onto Congress Ave. Go over the overpass and after approximately 0.8 of a mile, McMann Field is located to the right.

Cross Country - Bath Middle School has both a Girls and Boys cross country team which is open to all B.M.S. and Woolwich students. Both teams compete in the Andy Valley League. Cheering - Fall Cheerleading - A maximum of 15 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls are able to participate. There are try-outs at the beginning of September to select the squad. Practices are Tuesday - Friday from 2:30 - 4:00. The squad cheers for all home games, as well as the away games that are in neighboring towns. The season runs from September - October.

Winter Sports

Basketball - Bath Middle School has both Girls and Boys A and B basketball teams which compete in the Andy Valley league. The A teams are open to all B.M.S. eighth graders and the B teams to all sixth and seventh graders. Games are played at the Bath Middle School Gymnasium. Take Route 1 North to Bath. Take the Congress Ave. exit. Turn right off from the exit onto Congress Ave. Go over the overpass, passing McMann Field and the tennis courts. Bath Middle School is located on the right at the top of the hill.

Wrestling - B.M.S. has a wrestling team that is open to all B.M.S. students. The league runs from mid February to the first week of April. Meets are held at both Morse High School and bath Middle School, depending on the schedule.

Cheering - Winter Cheerleading - A maximum of 17 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are able to participate. There are try-outs in November to select the Basketball Squad. There is a separate try-out in December for the Competition Squad. The team practices Tuesday - Friday from 2:30 - 4:30. The Basketball Squad cheers at all home basketball games. The Competition Squad competes in February and March at 2-3 Competition Invitationals around the state. The season runs from November - March.

Track - Bath Middle School has both a girls and boys track team open to all B.M.S. and Woolwich middle school students. The teams compete in the Andy Valley League. Softball - B.M.S. has a softball team open to all B.M.S. and Woolwich middle school students. The team competes in the Andy Valley League. Games are played at Varnum Field. Take Route 1 North to Bath. Take the Congress Ave. exit. Turn right off from the exit onto Congress Ave. Go over the overpass. After 1.1 miles you will come to a four corner intersection. Turn left, going pass Dominos Pizza on Oak Grove Avenue. After approximately 0.3 mile turn right onto Crawford Street (right after the bridge). Go straight on Crawford and Varnum Filed is located at the bottom of the hill.

Baseball - Bath Middle School has a baseball team open to all B.M.S. and Woolwich middle school students. The team competes in the Andy Valley League.
