Meet Mrs. Yarlott:

Brenda Yarlott teaches in the primary resource program. She works with students in the first and second grade who are having difficulty with reading, writing, or math. She has taught at Dike Newell for the past 15 years.

Each child in the program has their own individualized education plan (IEP). Yearly academic goals are made with the unique needs of each child in mind. Second graders love the individualized instruction and extra attention. They look forward to working in the resource room each day.

Meet Mrs. Andelman: 

My name is Mary Andelman and I have been working at Dike Newell since 1998. My job is working in the Resource Room with Mrs.Yarlott helping children with reading and math. It is very rewarding working with the secondgraders. They get so excited when they can read all their word cards and the whole book by themselves.

I live in Brunswick with my husband and daughter. We are originally from Massachusetts. We enjoy antiquing, shopping at Freeport, and Maine's beautiful beaches.
