Welcome to the Technology Lab  

I am happy that you found the Technology page!  I am Mrs. D. Smith, as you may have heard from your child.

The students have been working with AppleWorks for the PC as our word processor.  We are learning a bit about "home keys" and how to use the keyboard, as well as how to use Drawing and Painting.

We will be using a variety of technologies in the computer lab: computers, digital cameras, the digital video camera, scanners, printers, microphones, audio editing.  We may be working on a podcast, doing video conferencing, making a movie, etc.

We are learning that the computer is a not a toy, but a tool to make our work easier and faster.  We are not playing games on the computer!  Anything that seems like a game, will really be work in disguise!  Reading, math, writing, research, etc. are all fun!
