to Title 1Briefly, Title 1 of the Education Consolidation and Improvement Act is the largest federal education program for elementary and secondary schools. The funds at Dike-Newell School are used to provide extra help in reading for children whose test scores show that they are not performing at or near the level of other children their age. Title I instruction supports and supplements regular classroom instruction.
