The following information was
submitted by Amanda Russell who taught Grade 3 at Fisher
Mitchell School during 1999-2000. We completed three research projects
using the SEED's "Using Technique: A research Method for
Primary Children - The Big 6" research form. The first time
the students used the original, unaltered form. For the
second and third project I modified the form to better fit
the needs of my students and the goals of my program. Below
are the modified forms of the SEED's Big 6 used by Ms.
Russell's Third Grade. NOTE: By the 4th report, the students
were working independently in all the steps which had been
covered. They handled any modifications of the process with
ease and enthusiasm. By the end, writing reports had become
