This is our first video showing how we do science.

We were trying to show how to lift a book using a lever. You can watch the movie. Then read what we used to do the experiment.

Interesting links about motion

By Jessie and Kiera

How we did the experiment was, we took a fulcrum, lever, some mushrooms a basket and a World Book Encyclopedia. The encyclopedia was the letter D. The fulcrum was a wooden triangle. The lever was a flat board. It took 273 mushrooms in the basket to lift the book.

This is how we counted the mushrooms after we were finished. We then checked to see if we put the same number in each group. We had 11 in one group and had to move one to the left over group.

We divided the mushrooms into groups of 10. The last group only has 3. You can see how many mushrooms there are in all. It took 273 mushrooms to lift the basket to lift the D encyclopedia.
