A Ramp Experiment

A ramp is a simple machine that looks like a hill. It is like a board on a raised surface or object. This experiment shows how our sleds work on the snowy hill outside.

Two classmates are doing a ramp experiment. This picture is showing they are going to start soon.

Now they have started doing the ramp experiment by giving the block a gentle push. The block is almost half way down the ramp.

The block has gone to the side and went into the snow pile.

This time the block is half way down the ramp. And it hasn't gone down in the snow pile that we made out of paper.

Now the block has reached the bottom of the ramp. It didn't go in the snow pile and it didn't go on the other side of the ramp. Fiction stopped it on the rug.
