Welcome to Mrs. Warren's Fifth Grade Page
![]()
I have been very happily teaching boys and girls in either grade 4 or grade 5 in the Bath School System for many years, this being my 30th year. I am married and I live with my husband, Jay and our youngest daughter, Melissa, in Boothbay Harbor. We also have two older children, Brian and Jennifer who are pursuing careers as an electrician, and as a nurse.
I'm enthusiastic about this school year because of the many exciting and fun filled opportunities that fifth graders have to learn. We have already walked the Freedom Trail in Boston with the other classes of fifth graders from Dike-Newell as a kick-off to our study of the Colonial Period and the American Revolution.
In fifth grade we will be reading about many famous people from various historical time periods. We will be investigating many possible sources of information including the Internet. The fifth graders will learn how to take notes, write a research paper, as well as work on many different types of projects related to their famous people.
In the spring, the fifth graders, after much experimentation in science and fund-raising projects, will head back to Boston to experience the ultimate in science by spending all day at the Boston Museum of Science.
Once again this year I look forward to the pleasures of working with students and parents, for the maximum in education can only be accomplished by all working in partnership. I can be reached at Fisher Mitchell School, 443-8265.
