We would like to give you a list of supplies that would be helpful for fifth grade. If possible please put your name on all items as they can easily get mixed up with others.
The first thing you will need is an atlas of both U.S. and the world. Every week you need to complete a map as part of your homework. The school has only a small supply of student
atlases so it is wise to get one that you can keep at home to go with the mapping. You will need a set of colored pencils that
also can be left at home to outline the current map. We have
some colored pencils at school (not enough for everyone). They stay at school.
Other items include:
A ruler that has both kinds of measurement
Several folders for various subject areas and one for homework
Pencils
Scissors clearly marked with your name
Markers- but don’t buy huge sets
Do not buy trapper keepers as they are too big for the desks
A small zipper case for pencils is nice- again keep size compact as space is really limited
Glue sticks
Two single subject note books
If in doubt about certain supplies, wait and get them after the year begins.
