Trip Three To The Maine Maritime Museum

Patterns

On our third visit to the Museum we had a good time learning about patterns. Josh says that naming the messages about the flags was the most fun.

A student in our class is using patterns like x's, o's and lines to color in a boat. He is working on his boat paper using the patterns. He is coloring a boat with a pencil.

The boys are looking at the signal flag paper to read what the flag means.Now one is going to pick a flag.

We made words using signal flag.

This is part of a message we are making out for another team.The letters are D,M, and U.

We are reading, and are learning what the meaning is of each flag.

One of the girls is telling about a flag. Sometimes the flag stands for words not just a letter.

We are holding flags to communicate with the other team.The letters say HELLO. They also had some message flags.
