On Tuesday, September 30, we went, along with Mrs. McAllister's class, to the museum. Mrs. Mansfield and Mr. Biscoe, a museum guide, gave us an introduction to several of the buildings. We learned that the Wyoming, a schooner built at Percy and Small Shipyard in 1909, was the largest wooden sailing ship ever built. We plan to go back at least two more times to review what you find in different buildings at the museum before we start planning and writing the guidebook. Follow our progress on our homepage! |
