WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14th is our last day of school.  We will not have late start on this day.  Breakfast will be served, however, there will be no lunch served.  The school is providing a special snack for this day!  Dismissal is at 11:45.  Busses can be expected approximately 3 hours earlier than normal time.  Report cards will be sent home with students.

ARE YOU PLANNING TO MOVE?  HAVE YOU ALREADY MOVED?  If you will be moving and your child will not return to the Bath Public Schools in the fall or if you are moving within the city, please call Mrs. Burgess at 443-8280 if you have not already done so.  If you have already moved, please call and update your address.  Thank you.

FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE:

Many students have medications at school.  These can be picked up by a parent from June 14-16.  For safety reasons, we will not send medications home with students.  Medications will be discarded at the end of this time.  Thank you, Ruth Page

Did you ever wonder what happens when you flush or throw away outdated medications?

Research has shown that they linger in the landfills for many years or end up in the ocean, and neither option is good for our environment!  On Friday, June 9th from 9AM-1PM you are encouraged to bring your old, unused or outdated medications and ointments to the West Bath Fire Station on State Road.  All medications collected will be disposed of in an environmentally appropriate manner.  This is a collaborative effort of many area service organizations - the Bath & Brunswick Police Departments, Sheriff's Department, Mid Coast Hospital, Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and many others.  Start searching for the unneeded medication you may have around your home.  This is also a way to keep the medications out of the hands of children and prevents the danger of unintentional misuse.  For more information call Marla Davis, RN at 373-6596.
