About Project Graduation

Graduation for the Morse High School Class of 2008 will be a time for celebration, high hopes and lasting memories.

For the past 26 years, parent volunteers and community members have produced Project Graduation—an overnight, alcohol and drug-free party exclusively for graduating seniors. The event begins on graduation day June 15 and continues through late June 16. This year the class will be traveling to New England Outdoor Center for rafting and other fun outdoor events.

Our goal is to provide an overnight adventure of fun and safety for graduation. The event is always a huge success with over 90% of the senior class attending. The trip features full use of all resort facilities including hot tub, satellite T.V. viewing area, beach volleyball, horseshoes, lakeside swimming and canoeing, big screen movie room, dance floor, and main lodge live entertainment. The main event is a river rafting trip down the Penobscot River. For those who choose not to raft, other activities include hiking, fishing, wildlife/ moose tours, canoeing, or kayaking. The class travels by motor coach from school to New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket after the ceremony and return the next evening.

Project Graduation is a non-profit, 501c3 tax-exempt organization. We do not receive any funding from the school budget. This event is held each year thanks to the generosity of parents, townspeople and the Bath area business community. This website will include a sponsor’s page recognizing and listing all contributions to this event. If you will support us with your time or goods donated (food, prizes, props, etc.) we thank you very much for your support. If you would prefer to support the event with a financial donation, please send your check to Project Graduation, c/o Lynn Rouillard, Morse High School, 826 High Street, Bath Maine, 04530.

We are grateful that the Bath area community has traditionally endorsed our efforts to provide a safe and fun-filled environment where our seniors can celebrate their graduation. Thank you for helping us to continue this special tradition.

Sincerely,

Lu Lozano
